Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admits that for the club’s first two pre-season fixtures they will look to utilise almost the whole squad, in order to give youngsters and first team players a chance, as per the official website.
The Red Devils travel to the United States of America very soon with their first game in 11 days over the pond.
Manchester United jet out to America this summer, after previously doing so last year in Van Gaal’s first month in charge of the club.
The first destination on the trip in July is Seattle, where the club will face Mexican side Club America on the 17th at the CenturyLink Field, which is home of MLS outfit Seattle Sounders.
After that there will be a friendly against San Jose Earthquakes, which is scheduled for 21 July at Kabam Field at the California Memorial Stadium.
Van Gaal, who gave a number of players their debuts for the club last season, has revealed his plans for those two games, insisting he will look to include as many players as he can from the squad.
Van Gaal said: “In the first two matches I will play all the players at the most for 45 minutes because we have to adapt to that new situation. A lot of youngsters will also have the possibility to step into the matches.”
United remain in California for the third game of the tour, which is a mouthwatering clash with European champions Barcelona on 25th July, in the Silicon Valley city of Santa Clara.
Chicago’s Soldier Field is the final venue of this summer’s tour and will host the Red Devils’ game against Paris Saint-Germain on 29 July.
