Robin van Persie is finally leaving Manchester United

Robin van Persie is set to have a medical with Fenerbahce after Manchester United accepted a £4.9million offer, according to reports.

Van Persie’s future has been up in the air in recent days with Turkish side Fener keen to get him signed up.

Reports over the weekend suggested the Dutchman had agreed personal terms ahead of a switch, and now reports say Van Persie is set to have a medical with Fener after they agreed a fee with United.

It’s claimed Fenerbache will be paying just £4.9m for the injury prone striker, who will likely recieve a pay off from United to go.

The transfer allows the Red Devils to shift Van Persie’s £200,000-a-week salary and reinvest it in other areas of the team.

Van Persie is due in Turkey in the coming days to have his medical and sign the contract.
