CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho marked down last season's title triumph as his toughest ever.

The Special One, 52, has taken the football world by storm since taking charge of Porto in 2002.

Mourinho has won 22 titles in four countries and averages a trophy every 34 matches.

He recently took Chelsea to their third championship in two spells and rates it the hardest he has ever experienced due to the overall strength of the English top flight.

In an interview for the Premier League Season Review 2014/15, the Chelsea manager, who also led his side to Capital One Cup glory, spoke about the competitive nature of the league, as well as picking out his favourite moments of what was a hugely successful season for the club.

Mourinho said: "It [the Premier League] is more difficult than ever, I would say it was the most difficult one. It's very competitive with good teams.

COMPETITIVE: Mourinho says every team in the league fights hard and has belief

"The mentality is very important and in this country even the teams without the same human potential as the top teams really fight and really believe. Every game becomes very competitive and mentality is a big part of it.

"At the same time, the good financial situation that every club has allows even the smaller teams and the promoted teams to get good players, have good squads and to be competitive.'

Asked to pick his best moments, Mourinho added: "'I would say the first match of the season at Burnley, because it was the first feeling of the quality of football Chelsea could play.

"We played fantastically well in that match and we scored, in my opinion, the most beautiful goal collectively speaking, which was Schurrle's goal.

"I also have to choose the last seconds of Chelsea against Crystal Palace because that's when the referee finished the game and we were mathematically champions.

"And the toughest? I have to be pragmatic and also choose two, the only two teams we couldn't beat.

"We didn't lose against them but we didn't beat them. Manchester City, two matches and two draws, and Southampton, two matches and two draws."

Chelsea have arranged a pre-season friendly with Italian club Fiorentina on Wednesday, August 8 where they hope to parade Radamel Falcao, signed on Friday on a season-long loan from Monaco.
