Mario Balotelli and SIX players CERTAIN to leave Liverpool this summer, including Chelsea target

Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli by The Guardian, but who could be joining him on the way out of Anfield?

They have already made seven signings in James Milner, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, Adam Bogdan, Roberto Firmino, and Bobby Adekanye, so there are replacements ready for those about to depart. Moreover, manager Brendan Rodgers likely needs to sell so that he doesn’t have too big a squad next season.

Here are six players looking increasingly likely to leave Anfield…

6) Raheem Sterling
The saga continues with the  contract rebel, and it looks like he will be leaving at some point. Both Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with bids by the Daily Mirror and the Daily Express. Either way the Reds will get a lot of money for the 20-year-old.

5) Fabio Borini
Failed to impress at Anfield last time round, despite turning down a move to Sunderland to try and resurrect his Reds career. As a result it is likely that Rodgers will let the striker go this summer.

4) Jose Enrique
Only made nine appearances in the last campaign due to injury and form issues, and with Alberto Moreno ahead of him in the pecking order it is unlikely to get any better for the Spaniard. The 29-year-old isn’t getting any younger, and as a result should be moved on soon.

3) Luis Alberto
On loan at Malaga last time round and only scored twice in 20 games. This isn’t exactly the form that will improve Liverpool’s awful goalscoring record, and he could be moved on to make room for others such as Danny Ings.

2) Rickie Lambert
The boyhood Reds fan probably won’t like it, but after three goals in 40 games last season surely Rodgers doesn’t have much choice. If the former Southampton man goes they may need a replacement though.

1) Lucas Leiva
Although the Brazilian was one of the side’s better performers last time round, the Reds will need a defensive midfielder who can also contribute going forward if they are going to break back in to the Champions League spots. Lucas could be the man to take the hit if such a player is signed.
