Eibar have parted company with coach Gaizka Garitano, the Primera Division club announced on Tuesday.
Garitano, 39, had been in charge since 2012 and could have remained with the Basque minnows for another season.
A statement from Eibar read: "With the club remaining in the Primera Division, Gaizka Garitano had an option to continue at the club for another season, however, after today's agreement between the two sides, in the end, the relationship between the coach and the club has concluded.
"A cycle in which the coach has been crucial ends and for that reason, the club wishes to publicly thank the coach for all his efforts to take the team to the maximum level.
"That achievement will be a part of Eibar's history and we will be eternally grateful."
A former Athletic Bilbao player, Garitano led Eibar to a historic promotion to Spain's top flight last year.
Eibar started 2014-15 strong but struggled in the second half of the campaign and finished 18th in the standings to suffer relegation.
However, Eibar were reinstated to La Liga earlier this month after Elche were relegated to the Segunda Division as punishment for unpaid taxes.
