LIONEL MESSI claims Argentina DESERVE to win the Copa America.
The Barcelona star suffered heartbreak with his national team against Germany in the World Cup final in Rio last summer.
But Messi is desperate to make up for the pain of that defeat by leading his country to glory at the Copa America.
Messi, who also lost the 2007 Copa final to Brazil, will earn his 100th cap in a Group B clash with Jamaica tonight.
He said: "I would give everything to win the Copa America. We're here to achieve this title.

"This group deserves it for the way they fight. We had a great World Cup and that deserves to be recognised.
"Personally I would like to achieve something with the national team. It's what I dream of.
"Winning the Copa America would us some give peace of mind for the coming World Cup qualifiers.
"Not only for my team-mates, for the coach and for me, but for the country, too. The fans want us to succeed so much."
Messi has just led Barcelona to the Spanish league, cup and Champions League treble but is desperate for glory with Argentina.
He said: "Hopefully I can celebrate another victory and once and for all win a title with Argentina.
"In these 100 games I have had incredible experiences, really great times. They're unforgettable.
"I've been through situations that have helped me grow as a player, but unfortunately with no title to show for it."
Meanwhile, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru all remain in the hunt for the last eight in a thrilling Group C to be decided tomorrow.
