Anfield outfit chase Emirates Stadium full-back.
Liverpool have set their sights on Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs according to the Metro.
The 25 year old England international lost his spot as the starting left-back in Arsene Wenger’s side to Nacho Monreal towards the end of the season and may perhaps be considering his future at the Emirates Stadium.
Brendan Rodgers may well see Gibbs as an improvement on the likes of Alberto Moreno and Jose Enrique and this source claims the Liverpool manager may look to engineer a deal to bring in the full-back as part of any potential sale of Raheem Sterling to Arsenal.
Gibbs has represented Arsenal since the age of 15 and has made 178 appearances for the club but may be forced to consider a move away if he feels his first team chances at the club are limited.
