Cesar Azpilicueta has backed Eden Hazard to scoop more Chelsea awards next season after the forward was named the club’s player of the year on Tuesday night.

The newly-crowned Premier League champions held their end-of-season awards at Battersea Evolution, which was hosted by BT Sport’s Claire Balding.

Hazard also scooped the west London side’s young player of the year award after having scored 14 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last term.

And Chelsea defender Azpilicueta was delighted for his team-mate, and the defender uploaded an impromptu selfie with the Belgium international.

Azpilicueta posted the above selfie and wrote: “Congratulations for all your trophies my friend!! #ChelseaPlayerOfTheYear #TheBest #NextYearMore #Champions @hazardeden_10″

Hazard can add the club’s player and young player of the year awards to his other three accolades for a special campaign: the PFA Player of the Year, the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year and the Barclays Premier League Player of the Year.
