Real Madrid ready to move for Monchi?

Sevilla's highly rated sporting director Monchi is being considered by the Real Madrid suits to fill a void that has become conspicuous in recent weeks, particularly when it came to the decision to fire Carlo Ancelotti.
Ever since Florentino Perez decided to make a change in the dugout, various ideas have been swimming in the Real Madrid president's head. One of them involves bolstering the football operations department, which has been progressively weakened in recent years, especially since Jorge Valdano left following a run-in with Jose Mourinho.
If a shift is made in this direction, Monchi is the preferred candidate to take on this beefed-up director of football role, whose remit would include handling day-to-day operations around the team and responsibility for squad planning.
This isn't the first time Monchi has been linked with 'Los Blancos'. Florentino Perez has always been an admirer and has been tempted to try to bring the former goalkeeper on board in the past.
