Chelsea are favourites to land Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Metro claim the Blues are ahead of Man United in the summer's fiercest transfer battle.
Ronaldo could be forced out of Real Madrid if he refuses to accept playing second fiddle to Gareth Bale.
That's according to the Telegraph, who claim former Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez will make the Welshman his talisman.
Eight Chelsea players have been left out of their end-of-season tour.
Cesc Fabregas (nose), Kurt Zouma (knee), Oscar (hip) and Ramires (ill) are all missing, while Thibaut Courtois has been allowed to stay at home as he awaits the birth of his first child.
Filipe Luis and Willian have been excused as they prepare for their upcoming Copa America campaign with Brazil.
Juan Cuadrado is also missing the trip with a knee problem.
LOANER: Could Atsu being heading out again?
Christian Atsu is in talks with Bournemouth over a loan deal.
Sky Sports claim the Ghana international will join the Cherries on a deal similar to the package that saw him spend last season at Everton.
Atsu signed from Porto in 2013 for a fee of around £3.5m.
