MANCHESTER UNITED players and coaching staff hit the town for a night out to celebrate the end of the season - and a few ended up looking a little worse for wear.

Louis van Gaal's side rounded off a successful campaign with a 0-0 draw at Hull earlier in the day before making their way back to Manchester.

The party, led by the Dutch boss, started out with drinks and a meal at popular local haunt TATTU.

Conservatively dressed Van Gaal left at around 11.30pm looking bleary-eyed before the players hit Panacea nightclub.

Club captain Wayne Rooney appeared to enjoy the chance to let his hair down so much that he forgot to do up his trousers!

But poor old David De Gea could not escape the transfer talk linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

A Spanish TV crew wanted an exclusive line from the keeper but he kept schtum and refused to speak.

While the award for worst outfit of the night was split between big midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who was sent off in the Tigers draw, and teenage defender Luke Shaw.

Fellaini matched a blue long-sleeve top with garish turquoise trousers - a popular look in Belgium? - while Shaw appeared to forget that he was still carrying around his rucksack.
