Van Persie linked to Qatar move?

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has been linked with a possible transfer to Lekhwiya SC in Qatar, according to The Mirror.
The Qatari side, which plays in the Qatar Stars League, are managed by former Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup.
The Dutch striker's future appears to be uncertain at United after coach Louis van Gaal's refusal to clarify his plans for the player on Friday, only saying, "You'll have to wait and see".
There is a feeling that a major overhaul will be taking place at the Red Devils over the next few months due to them finishing without silverware for the last two seasons. Players that are seen as "dead wood" will likely be offloaded.
Van Persie has not seen much action this season and has only scored 10 times, but has suffered with an ankle injury which has not helped his cause.
The 31-year-old striker has definitely not looked the player he was two seasons ago and seems to have lost a bit of pace and is not looking sharp in front of goal.
Speculation is that if Van Persie is offered a deal with Lekhwiya it could be around £18-million over three years, but with only a year remaining on his United deal he could go cheaper.
