Jose Mourinho says he regrets using the word 'campaign' when claiming his Chelsea side had more than their fair share of bad refereeing decisions this season.

He was fined £25,000 for suggesting a refereeing conspiracy, complaining after Cesc Fabregas was denied a penalty at Southampton, and also highlighted a series of perceived injustices, including a heavy tackle by Ashley Barnes on midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Speaking before Chelsea's final game of the season, at home to Sunderland, Mourinho said: "I'm not the kind of person to regret. What you did, you did. What happened, happened. You cannot change things. Time does not go back.

"We had lots of mistakes against us, that's the reality, but that's football. Maybe "campaign" is not a nice word. Maybe I would take that word out from my explanation and my comments, but that's the reality.

"We had very bad decisions over a big period of time. But I also made bad decisions, no problem."

Sunday's game at Stamford Bridge will be a celebration of Chelsea's title success, but it could also mark a final game in their colours for long-serving keeper Petr Cech.

Cech has been linked with a move across London to Arsenal, and Mourinho says he will play a part against Sunderland if he overcomes a muscle injury in time. The 33-year-old only returned to full training on Friday.

"I'm not sure he is fit," Mourinho added. "He's working hard to try and be fit. Today is the first session he'll do with the team. I would like him to be fit, yes, but let's see."

But Mourinho admitted he would still rather see the Czech Republic international stay at Stamford Bridge even though he has given him permission to speak to other clubs if they can offer him a more regular role.

He said: "This is a very personal thing. I don't want to speak about it. I'd like him to stay, I have no preferences if he leaves."
