Man United given Ronaldo boost as unsettled Real Madrid superstar plots Bernabeu exit

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to sensationally turn his back on the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, with reports from Spain claiming that the Portuguese forward is unsettled in the capital.

Spanish newspaper Marca tweeted the front page of Thursday’s newspaper, which claims that Ronaldo is ‘restless’ in Madrid, and that cracks in his relationship with the club are showing following a trophy-less campaign for the La Liga giants.

The Metro cite reports from Spain that the 30-year-old is unhappy at having not won any silverware this term, and has one eye on the exit ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ever since former Real goalkeeper Agustin Rodriguez controversially voiced his beliefs that both Iker Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo would leave Los Blancos in the summer, the latter has been linked with a stunning return to Manchester United.

The report suggests that the Portugal captain would cost around £75.1m, and the Red Devils look set to be willing to part with this sum to see the goalscoring machine back at the Theatre of Dreams – with Louis van Gaal looking to build a formidable European force.
