Hertha BSC Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt preview - No letting up now - Aigner

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Stefan Aigner insists he and his team-mates are as committed as ever to getting three points when they visit the Olympiastadion this Saturday.

The Eagles secured their place in the Bundesliga with a 3-1 win over Hoffenheim last weekend, but that result does not mean they can sit back and start to relax already.

"It's the most ridiculous thing in the world to say that we've got nothing left to play for," Aigner told the Frankfurter Neue Presse.

"It's all about our league position and that means a lot of money to the club."

Indeed, the final league standings determine how much money each club earns in terms of prize money and TV revenue.

With wins in their final two matches, Frankfurt could rise as many as four places. They could also drop two, and the difference is not negligible.

"We would be able to have a much greater budget," said club chairman Heribert Bruchhagen, who will give coach Thomas Schaaf any additional funds having given him a vote of confidence earlier this week.

Berlin have similar aims, although they, unlike Frankfurt, still have to glance over their shoulders at the relegation zone, which is only three points behind with two games to go.

"We've got to beat Frankfurt and put a lid on it, and that's an end to it," said their coach Pal Dardai, whose side led Frankfurt by 3-0 and 4-2 in the reverse fixture, but were ultimately pegged back to a 4-4 draw by Alexander Meier.

Meier is not available for this or for Frankfurt's final game of the season due to injury, although he may still win the Bundesliga's top-scorer's prize thanks to the 19 goals he netted before his season was curtailed.

Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben, whose season is also over, is currently two goals behind him while Bas Dost of Wolfsburg and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern are three adrift.
