Footie legend Peter Crouch makes pop video debut: he shoots but does he score?

WITH a likely hernia operation lined up for the summer, is Peter Crouch looking to follow Vinnie Jones into acting as Stoke City striker stars in Peace video for Gen Strange?
OWN GOAL: Peter Crouch in Peace's new video for Gen Strange
Somehow we doubt that Hollywood will come calling after Peter Crouch's thespian efforts in in the new video for indie band Peace.
Not that Crouch will care, he is doing this for the love of it. The 6'7 footie legend is a huge fan of the Worcester quartet, formed of brothers Harry and Sam Koisser with Doug Castle and Dom Boyce.
The Stoke City star plays an angry driver being aggravated by a group of bad boys in leather jackets led by Harry's evil alter-ego.
ASBO: Poor Pete's wing mirror is smashed, that'll be a nightmare to claim on insurance
After hurling abuse at Crouch and the rest of the band and calling them "F****** emo", Harry's alter-ego band The Toadz leap onto their bikes.
While the footballer sits in his car listening to the track, the gang ride past and smash his wing-mirror before heading into the woods to start fires and other disgraceful acts.
Shocking stuff.
Where is an ASBO when you need one?
Gen Strange is the latest single from Peace's second album, Happy People.
It’s been a hectic start to the year for the band who completed a 29 date tour of the UK selling over 10,000 tickets in March.
This Summer will see the lads bring their irrepressable energy, along with their hoards of loyal fans, to the festival calendar, with shows at Reading & Leeds, T In The Park and Liverpool Sound City all confirmed so far.
This will be followed by a major UK tour in September and October.
