Arsenal to move for £35m Premier League pair who could be key to major title push

Emirates Stadium side chase top quality Southampton and Chelsea charges.

Arsenal are readying summer moves for two top notch Premier League players according to the Metro.

The Gunners will look to address two problem areas in their first team set-up by making offers for Chelsea and Southampton stars when the transfer window reopens.

Arsene Wenger will look to bring in Chelsea star Petr Cech as a preferable first choice option to the likes of Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina, with the Metro claiming the north London side will make a £10m bid for the Czech Republic international.

The experienced keeper is now warming the Stamford Bridge bench and may well be tempted by a move from west to north London, especially if he is confident of holding down a regular first team starting berth at the Emirates Stadium.

Though Francis Coquelin has proven pivotal to Arsenal’s superb run of form since the turn of the year, having been ushered back into the Arsenal fold following a loan spell at Championship side Charlton Athletic, Arsene Wenger will look to further strengthen his central midfield options with a £25m bid for Saints battler Morgan Scheiderlin.
