Lewandowski to decide himself

Robert Lewandowski will make the decision of whether he is fit enough to face Barcelona in Wednesdays Champions League semi-final first leg, according to Matthias Sammer.

Bayern's director of sport revealed that the Polish striker, who broke his nose, cheekbone and suffered concussion last Tuesday, will have the final say as to whether he is available to make the journey to Catalonia.
The clash with Mitchell Langerak late in Bayern's German Cup semi-final defeat to Borussia Dortmund did more damage than first appeared, and Lewandowski sat out of Die Roten's weekend loss at Bayer Leverkusen.
"It will be decided by the doctors, the player himself and whether he can play with the mask," Sammer told German broadcaster ZDF.
"One thing is clear. No player in the world is so important that you put his health at risk."
Sammer offered little hope that French winger Franck Ribery will be fit for the Nou Camp showdown, while Dutch winger Arjen Robben is out for the rest of the season.
"In all honesty, Ribery is rather a long way from making an appearance," Sammer added.
