Pellegrini silent on future

Manuel Pellegrini refused to say whether he will stay as Manchester City manager next season after his side's 1-0 win at Tottenham.
The win all but secured City's top four place in the Premier League this term, but last year's champions had been tipped for better things under the Chilean in the 2014/15 season. They were also knocked out of all three cup competitions before quarter-final stage, but Pellegrini would not talk about his future at the Etihad Stadium.
When asked if he is the right man for Manchester City, Pellegrini told Sky Sports: "I do not want to answer that question," before walking away from the post-match interview.
Pellegrini insists his side can challenge for the Premier League title again next season, after Chelsea were crowned champions on Sunday.
"This team always has a challenge for next season. I think that next year we must improve because we lost too many easy points this year.
"We must try to continue playing the same style. You must not forget that this team won exactly the same as Chelsea did. We scored 102 goals and continue to be the highest scorers this season.
"I think we always are having lessons every day in football. We must have an open mind to learn every day.
"We are with five teams, all very strong, and all of them can win the title each year."
Sergio Aguero scored the only goal of the game at White Hart Lane, taking his Premier League tally to 22 this term, and Pellegrini is pleased the Argentine is on a run of appearances.
"Finally he is playing games in a row and not stopping for injury. I am sure he will continue improving because he is just 26 years old."
