Alloa will be without the suspended Graeme Holmes as they look to avoid finishing in bottom spot by climbing over visitors Cowdenbeath.

Injuries rule out Stephen Simmons (back) and Jason Marr (hamstring), while Darryl Meggatt is a doubt.

Manager Danny Lennon said: "There have been twists and turns over recent weeks and there will be more before the end of this game. Hopefully the final twist will be the side that starts the day in 10th place finishes it in eighth.

"Our first half at Hibs lacked intensity but the second 45 minutes was better and we need to have a 90-minute performance this time."

Cowdenbeath will be without Nat Wedderburn after he suffered a broken shoulder in the 2-1 defeat from Hearts last weekend.

Manager Jimmy Nicholl has been boosted by the news that Declan Hughes and Sean Higgins have returned to training after knocks and could feature.

Nicholl has told his men to keep their cool as they look for the win that will secure their place in the Championship.

He explained: "We know the result we need, however that does not mean that we will come out all guns blazing for it. Hopefully a calm and professional performance will get us where we want to go."
