Rooney sends message to Chelsea and Tottenham stars after PFA awards

Wayne Rooney offers his congratulations to Harry Kane and Eden Hazard after Sunday's PFA awards
Wayne Rooney took to social media on Monday afternoon to congratulate Eden Hazard and Harry Kane for winning PFA awards on Sunday.
Chelsea playmaker Hazard was voted the PFA player of the year by his fellow professionals, while Tottenham striker Kane was named the young player of the year.
Rooney was at the glitzy awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on Sunday evening as his Manchester United team-mate was named as the goalkeeper in the PFA team of the year.
And the Manchester United captain was quick to congratulate all of the award winners after the ceremony.
Rooney posted the picture above on his Instagram account of himself with De Gea and Young, and wrote: “Congratulations to @d_degeaofficial on being named in the PFA Team of the Year. Congratulations also to Eden Hazard and @harrykane on their awards last night, all were well deserved.”
Rooney has scored 12 goals and made five assists in 30 Premier League games for Manchester United so far this season.
He played 88 minutes as United slumped to a 3-0 defeat by Everton on Sunday afternoon at Goodison Park.
