Bradford AFC vs Barnsley preview - Same again for Parkinson

Posted Friday, April 24, 2015 by PA

Bradford boss Phil Parkinson is expected to select his starting XI for the home game against Barnsley from an unchanged squad.

Parkinson has no new injury or suspension concerns following the midweek draw at Scunthorpe, but defender Rory McArdle serves the second game of his two-match ban.

Filipe Morais is unlikely to return due to the knee injury that has kept him out of the last two matches and fellow winger Mark Yeates is struggling with a shoulder problem that requires surgery.

Midfielder Andy Halliday and defender Gary MacKenzie are among those pushing for recalls.

Barnsley's George Smith is hoping to overcome the knock that forced him out of last week's home draw against Peterborough.

Fellow defender Jean Yves Mvoto has missed the last five games due to a groin problem and remains doubtful.

Another defender, Jack Cowgill, is hoping to resume after making his full debut last week, while head coach Lee Johnson is expected to make further changes as he looks towards next season.

Barnsley, 11th in the table, have drawn their last three matches 1-1.
