Chelsea could be without Didier Drogba for Sunday's trip to Arsenal as striker reveals ankle injury
Didier Drogba is a doubt for Chelsea’s Premier League trip to Arsenal this weekend due to an ankle injury, the forward has revealed on Twitter.
The Ivorian played the full 90 minutes as the Blues sealed a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
However, the veteran forward revealed that he is struggling with an ankle injury and was forced to pull out of a charity match in France on Monday.
Drogba wrote on Twitter: “Disappointed not to be able to play the #MAP2015 because of an ankle injury but still supporting #EbolaResponse”
The striker has been a regular fixture in Chelsea’s first team in recent weeks following injuries to Loic Remy and Diego Costa.
Drogba has scored three goals and made one assist in 24 Premier League games for the Blues so far this season.
Chelsea head into Sunday’s clash at Emirates Stadium 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
The Blues need just two wins from their remaining six games to win their first league title since 2010.
