Hertha BSC Berlin vs Koln preview - Hertha set for survival scrap

Hertha Berlin and Cologne go into their clash this Saturday sharing the same ambition of getting the three points which would most probably see them secure survival this season.
Both are locked together on 33 points, six clear of the relegation play-off berth and seven ahead of the drop zone.
A win might extend that gap to 10 points with five games of the season remaining and although that would not be enough to see them stay up mathematically, with so many clubs still fighting for survival and with many battles between them to come, it would probably suffice.
"We're not safe yet, but we want to ensure that's the case as soon as possible," said Cologne forward Marcel Risse to herthabsc.de.
"Survival was and is our objective for the season. Overall we've done a very good job as a promoted side, even if we lost some cheap points along the way.
"If we perform well as a team, then we can gain revenge for our defeat in the reverse fixture."
That "must not be allowed to happen" in the words of Hertha Berlin coach Pal Dardai, who insists his side must come away with all three points in front of their own fans at the Olympiastadion.
"That's my opinion," he said. "And I'll do all I can to ensure that my team are better on this day."
Dardai hopes to have Roy Beerens back from injury while Marvin Plattenhardt is going to be back in the squad for the Old Lady.
