Preston vs Rochdale preview - Quartet back for Preston

Preston welcome their four internationals back into Simon Grayson's squad for Rochdale's visit to Deepdale.

The Sky Bet League One high-fliers were without Australia's Bailey Wright, Gibraltar's Scott Wiseman, Republic of Ireland Under-21s call-up Alan Browne and England Under-20 cap Callum Robinson for last Sunday's 1-1 draw at Fleetwood.

Only Wright and Robinson have been playing frequently in North End's recent good run, though, so Chris Humphrey and Jack King may come out of the XI.

Defender Paul Huntington will be assessed after coming off at Highbury late in the second half with a head injury.

Rochdale will be boosted by the return to contention of defender Ashley Eastham, who missed last week's home win against Yeovil due to a dead leg.

But boss Keith Hill will be without defender Jack O'Connell, who has been recalled by parent club Brentford, so Ollie Lancashire is expected to return to the starting line-up.

Midfield pair Jamie Allen (head) and Stephen Dawson, who has had knee surgery, are unlikely to play again this season, while forward Peter Vincenti remains doubtful due to the groin strain that kept him out last week.

Midfielder Matty Lund (shoulder) and striker Calvin Andrew (knee) are still out as Dale bid to climb back into the top six.
