Dagenham and Redbridge 0 : 1 Wycombe Wanderers - Chairboys too sharp for Daggers

Wycombe continued their promotion charge with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Sam Wood tested Daggers goalkeeper Mark Cousins after 10 minutes, but chances were few and far between in a drab first half.
The match threatened to turn into the exciting contest that had been expected just before the break when Matt McClure headed onto the roof of the net, although he was offside.
And then Jamie Cureton forced Wycombe keeper Matt Ingram to tip the ball over the crossbar and preserve his clean sheet following Ashley Hemmings' centre.
Daggers started the second period strongly and Cureton put two dangerous crosses into the area, although he could not find a team-mate with either.
Wycombe upped the tempo, though, and took the lead when Aaron Pierre poked home from close range after their third successive corner.
Joe Jacobson nearly doubled the lead with 11 minutes remaining but his free-kick hit the crossbar.
