In-demand Neil Taylor set for Swansea contract to warn of Premier League rivals

Swansea plan to offer Neil Taylor a new contract before the end of the season.

Left-back Taylor, 26, was a target for Crystal Palace and West Brom during the January transfer window, and further interest is expected this summer.
The Wales international has just over a year remaining on his existing deal, but Swans boss Garry Monk is keen to stave off any offers by sorting Taylor's future.
The former Wrexham man struggled for form early in the season, having spent much of the previous campaign on the bench, but has looked back to his best in recent weeks.
Although ready to hold talks with Taylor, Monk is still planning to bring in another left-back and is likely to revive his interest in Norwich's Martin Olsson.
