Gareth Bale is told to expect another tough environment in Israel

GARETH BALE has been warned he is about to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.

The Real Madrid superstar is currently suffering a slump in Spain and is taking abuse from all sides.

His car was attacked by irate Real fans after Sunday's defeat to Barcelona and his displays this season have been heavily criticised.

Now the world's most expensive player has been told to forget about escaping the flak with Wales.

Wales face Israel in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Saturday.

And assistant boss Osian Roberts said: "We know the environment in Haifa is going to be tough.

"This will be up with the most hostile places to go in Europe and similar to playing in places Serbia or Croatia.

"It's going to be all about making a mental adjustment to be prepared for whatever comes our way.

"This is a massive game and thankfully we now have a few players, like Gareth and Aaron (Ramsey), who have been to places like Galatasaray and Rome in the Champions League.

"They can use that experience to help us and the other lads handle the occasion."

Roberts insists the northern Israeli city is safe and said: "Right now things are pretty quiet but we are aware that trouble can flare up at any moment."

Israel and Wales are unbeaten in Group B as they aim to qualify for a major tournament for only the second time.

Roberts added: "Israel's results prove that Israel have plenty of quality even if they don't have household names in the English Premier League."
