Cowdenbeath vs Falkirk preview - Duo missing for Blue Brazil

Cowdenbeath will be without Dean Brett and John Herron when they host Falkirk as the duo struggle with ankle problems.

The second-bottom Blue Brazil are looking to convert one of two games in hand they have over Alloa into points and move up to eighth place, with manager Jimmy Nicholl telling his side to be positive.

Nicholl said: "We gave Falkirk a real fright in the opening game of the season when we drew 2-2.

"We were 2-1 up and they needed a late equaliser. All I am asking from the players is to put on a similar performance and see where it takes us."

Falkirk striker Rory Loy is an injury doubt due to the shin problem that has seen him miss the Bairns' last two games.

Everyone else is available to manager Peter Houston, who is looking for his side to bounce back after losing 3-0 to champions Hearts on Saturday.

Houston said: "We matched Hearts for most of the first half but they took control once they scored the vital first goal. It is good to get going again so quickly but we know that we are in for a tough evening at Central Park.

"It is a crucial few days as both ourselves and Queen of the South play twice."
