Manchester City keen to capture Kevin De Bruyne

Wolfsburg's Kevin De Bruyne appears to be at the top of Manchester City's summer shopping list, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Belgium international has enjoyed a very productive season for the German club, scoring 14 goals and contributing with 23 assists to date. His form has alerted the attention of many across Europe, but it would seem City, along with French financial power house Paris SG are leading the chase.

CITY INTENTIONS

De Bruyne has had a massive turnaround in fortunes since his January move in 2014 from title chasing Chelsea. His face did not seem to fit at the London club and was shipped out on loan before completing a permanent move to Wolfsburg, where he has thrived.

The German club will hate to lose one of their most priced assets and will try their hardest to hold onto the midfielder, who is valued at around £35 million. This will not deter City though, who look to gain an early advantage in the hunt for De Bruyne signature.

Director of Football Txiki Begiristain is expected to be in attendance for Wolfsburg's trip to Inter Milan to take a close look at the Belgium and there are even suggestions that the Blues have entered into talks floating around.
