Bolton Wanderers vs Millwall preview - Bannan back for Bolton

Barry Bannan may be brought back into Bolton's squad to face Millwall at the Macron Stadium.

The Scotland international was the odd one out as boss Neil Lennon selected five other loanees in the squad to face Blackburn on Wednesday night but the midfielder may be a more suitable option on home soil.

Andy Lonergan (concussion), Craig Davies (hamstring) and Emile Heskey (calf) were all back in the squad in midweek while Paddy McCarthy and Giles Coke both made their full debuts.

Wanderers' injury list is still substantial, though, with Mark Davies (knee), Marc Tierney (broken leg), Adam Bogdan (ankle), Kevin McNaughton (broken leg), Max Clayton (knee), Zach Clough (shoulder), David Wheater (hamstring) and Liam Trotter (thigh) all still on the sidelines.

Neil Harris takes charge of relegation-threatened Millwall for the first time following Ian Holloway's sacking earlier this week.

The former Lions striker is hoping for some good news from the treatment room with Shaun Cummings, Stefan Maierhofer and Paris Cowan-Hall closing in on returns.

Full-back Cummings (calf) and forward Maierhofer (quad) have been out for a month and winger Cowan-Hall suffered a leg injury on his debut in January.

Carlos Edwards (cruciate) remains a long-term absentee for the Lions, who are eight points adrift of safety with 10 games remaining.
