Roma preparing huge £18.1m deal for Man City star James Milner

ROMA are prepared to hand James Milner a staggering £18.1million package to quit Manchester City on a free transfer.
The England midfielder has been allowed to speak to foreign clubs since January as he is in the final six months of his contract.
And Roma’s director of football, Walter Sabatini, has been in Manchester for talks. Milner, 29, impressed Roma when playing against them in this season’s Champions League.
The Italian club are understood to be willing to pay Milner £100k a week over the course of a three-year contract – AFTER tax!

That would be wages of £15.6m, while they would also give him a £2.5m signing fee.
City and their boss Manuel Pellegrini however, believe Milner – who recently became a father – would prefer to stay in England.
But if that is the case, it could be with Liverpool.
The sticking point in City’s bid to keep him is their two-year contract offer, with Milner after a three-year deal.
