BRANISLAV IVANOVIC is set to be handed a four-year deal which will see him end his career at Chelsea.
NEW DAEL: Ivanovic is set to see out his career with Chelsea
Boss Jose Mourinho is understood to have persuaded the club to break the rule that sees players over 30 offered only one-year deals.
Ivanovic is one of the Blues’ most consistent players, but the 31-year-old has been on a comparatively low wage of £75,000-a-week, with his current deal due to end in the summer of next year.
But that figure is to rise to £90,000, ensuring the defender, who joined Chelsea in 2008, will clock-up over a decade at Stamford Bridge.
Serbian Ivanovic has been one of the team’s most consistent players and made the right-back role is own, having been bought as a centre-back.
