ONE CLUB MAN: John Terry doesn't think he could play for another team

The Blues skipper was outstanding in Sunday's Capital One Cup Final, scoring the first and winning the man of the match award in the 2-0 win over Spurs.

But the ex-England captain is sweating on being offered a new one-year by the Blues.

Both manager Jose Mourinho and the club have insisted Terry will be offered a contract extension.

But with fellow Chelsea legends Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole being allowed last season to leave, 34-year-old Terry has revealed his anxiety about his future.

"I don't know how long I have left. Hopefully I have a few years, but if this is my last year then I hope it will go out on a bang," he said.

"The manager has made it clear if you work hard you will get extra years and you will play" said Terry, whose Wembley goal was his first in a final for the club.

"But if not there are other players who are younger who can play and will fight for their place."

Terry made his debut for the Stamford Bridge club 17 years ago, and has won every major trophy in over 500 appearances.

And he insisted he would not play for any other club.

"No, and I also think there's a right time to go as well," he added.

"Certainly I am feeling great at the minute and it would be the wrong time to go.

"But there does come a point where it would be the right time to go, to say it's time to move on and people will remember you that way.

"I am fighting for my future and my family's future and to prove people wrong.

"It doesn't come much bigger than that and I want to give it everything.

"The uncertainty has helped me, not having four or five years as you get older, because the roles have reversed and now the power is in the club's hands. That has inspired me."
