Rotherham United vs Millwall preview - Evans could shuffle Millers pack

Rotherham boss Steve Evans will be tempted by changes for the crunch Championship clash with Millwall.

The Millers' last two away games have ended in respective 5-0 and 3-0 defeats at Wolves and Watford and after such limp displays, the boss could swap things around.

Attacker Danny Ward is a contender to come into the starting XI after dropping to the bench at Vicarage Road while Connor Newton and Lee Frecklington will hope Evans changes system in midfield.

A home win would put six points between them and Millwall who currently occupy the final relegation spot.

Millwall pair Martyn Woolford and Gary Taylor-Fletcher are major doubts for the trip.

Woolford was forced off during the 3-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday with a rib injury while Taylor-Fletcher, who completed the 90 minutes, has seen his foot swell up following the encounter.

Striker Stefan Maierhofer sat out in midweek and is struggling once again with a quad injury, but Nicky Bailey is closing in on a return from his calf problem.

Lions boss Ian Holloway is still waiting on an update on Lee Martin's foot injury but Shaun Cummins (thigh), Carlos Edwards (knee) and Paris Cowan-Hall (leg) remain sidelines.
