Manchester United are determined to bring in Raphael Varane

Manchester United are ready to pay £30million to seal the signing of Raphael Varane - after Louis van Gaal personally ordered his signing.

United have been keen on a deal for Real Madrid man Varane, and have been alerted to news that the Spanish club would sell for £22million.

However, Chelsea and Arsenal are in the race, and reports now say United are set to offer a £30million - in order to see off competition and get their man.

The Red Devils are desperate to get Varane with Van Gaal believed to have demanded the transfer.
