Busquets renews with Barca

FOR ANOTHER YEAR, UNTIL JUNE 2019
This Friday, Sergio Busquets is to renew his relationship with Barcelona for another season, until 30th June 2019, with an option for a further year.
The Catalan player, one of the cornerstones of the Barça team since the 2008-09 season, already had a contract until June 2018, but the club has felt it necessary to extend this agreement with the player for another year with the possibility of it being extended until 2020, when he will be 32 years old.
On his rise to the first team, Busquets took over from Yaya Touré and since then has been a key figure in midfield, making a name for himself under the orders of Pep Guardiola, although the player also played a few minutes with Frank Rijkaard in the Catalonia Cup.
