Dynamo Kyiv 3 - 1 Guingamp - Dynamo battle through

Dynamo Kiev overturned a first-leg deficit to reach the last 16 of the Europa League at the expense of Guingamp.

Trailing 2-1 from their trip to Brittany, Serhiy Rebrov's men quickly levelled up through early substitute Lukazs Teodorczyk and took control of the tie with Vitaliy Buyalsky's goal just after the break.

Christophe Mandanne's lucky finish looked set to take the game into extra time at the Olimpiyskiy but Oleg Gusev made it 3-1 from the spot before a suspension in play due to crowd trouble upset both sides' rhythm and ended Guingamp's challenge.

After surrendering the lead to lose in France last week, Dynamo needed to chase the game and impressed their intent on Guingamp early on as Sergiy Rybalka tested Jonas Lossl.

Only a minute later it looked like their game plan had been scuppered when Miguel Veloso suffered an injury that necessitated the premature introduction of Teodorczyk from the bench.

But the Polish striker would make a key contribution, scoring the opener on the half-hour mark.

Gusev swung in the corner that Teodorczyk rose to nod beyond Lossl from the right side of the box.

Dynamo might have doubled their lead before the break, with Artem Kravets forcing a block from Lossl, but they would not have to wait too long to do so.

Just a minute after play resumed Buyalsky turned the tie back in the Ukrainians' favour by clipping home with his left boot.

Either Teodorczyk or Croatian defender Domagoj Vida might have grabbed a third as Dynamo tried to press their advantage, but Guingamp had other ideas.

A quick counter-attack down the right saw the ball end up with Claudio Beauvue, whose shot was saved allowing Thibault Giresse to smash goalwards, yet Mandanne provided the fateful deflection.

Suddenly imbued with confidence the French side threatened again with Beauvue heading just wide but they would soon shoot themselves in the foot.

In the 74th minute Brou Angoua fouled Teodorczyk in the Guingamp box and Gusev needed no encouragement to beat Lossl with a penalty he placed into the top left corner.

Almost immediately trouble broke out in the stands and the teams were ordered off the pitch until, approximately 10 minutes later, the match officials deemed it was safe to continue.

Dynamo coped better with the disruption and, while Kravets was unlucky not to beat Lossl with a late snapshot from 12 yards out, the hosts had already done enough.
