Carlo Ancelotti has started preparing for Villarreal's trip to the Santiago Bernabeu without Gareth Bale, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane.
Real Madrid will have the full week to prepare for their next league game on Sunday at 21:00 (CET), while Villarreal still have to travel to play the second leg of their Europa League tie in Salzburg on Thursday.
As reported by Real Madrid, Bale, Carvajal and Varane, who started against Elche, worked indoors at the Valdebebas training facilities, while Sergio Ramos, Sami Khedira and James Rodríguez continued on their roads to recovery.
As such, Ancelotti included youth players Álvaro Medran, Derik Osede and Martin Odegaard in the training session. Fabio Coentrao, who missed the Elche game with a muscle strain, was back in full training with the rest of his teammates though, as was Luka Modric who is continually edging closer to making a return after being out injured for months.
Iker Casillas, Keylor Navas and Fernando Pacheco completed specific training meanwhile, and after the players completed physical work, Ancelotti got his boys playing a half pitch game with small goals.
