Cristiano Ronaldo has called lifting 'La Decima' in his home capital of Lisbon a lasting memory that will stay with him forever.
"Winning the Champions League in Lisbon was one of the best and most decisive moments of my career", CR7 revealed in an interview with Portuguese sports publication 'O Jogo', which has honoured him with an award for being the best Portuguese sportsman of the last thirty years.
The Portuguese star humbly accepted the accolade, stressing that "individual awards are the result of teamwork, whether with Real Madrid or with the national team". CR7 picked the Lisbon final against Atlético Madrid as a highlight in his professional career. In that game, despite a low-key performance, he put away the last goal for his team from the penalty spot.
Hailed as the world's best player of 2014, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has just entered his thirties, has been picking up awards left, right and centre, having also recently been voted the best Portuguese footballer of all time.
