Shelvey was substituted after 62 minutes during the loss at West Brom and his fiancee, former S Club Junior Daisy Evans, was less than impressed

Getting tweety: Shelvey was substituted much to the annoyance of his fiancee

The pop-star fiancee of Swansea's Jonjo Shelvey took to Twitter last night to lay bare her disgust at Swans boss Garry Monk's decision to substitute the midfielder during Wednesday night's 2-0 loss at West Brom.

The one-cap England international, 22, was hooked by Monk just two minutes after Brown Ideye had handed the Baggies the lead at the Hawthorns.

Striker Nelson Oliveira replaced Shelvey, but the Welsh club succumbed to defeat as Saido Berahino wrapped up the points for the Baggies.

And that lead to an angry response from Daisy Evans, a former member of S Club Juniors.

She tweeted: "What an absolute load of s***. Ain't got a f*****g clue."

Supporters of the Swans advised the 25-year-old that her comments wouldn't help the side, leading to her response: "I'm entitled to have an opinion an if I want to tweet it, I will!"

Shelvey has endured something of an up-and-down relationship with Monk this season.

Back in December, Monk accused him of being "lazy", stating that he needed to clean up his disciplinary record - just a day before he was sent off against Liverpool.

But Monk has also talked up the ability of Shelvey who recently netted a stunning late winner in the 1-0 victory at Southampton.

Yet, his place in the starting XI is set to come under increased pressure following the signing of Jack Cork and the return from suspension of creative linchpin Gylfi Sigurdsson.
