Newcastle linked with shock move for former Liverpool and Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez

Newcastle United are reportedly attempting to lure Rafa Benitez away from Napoli as he stalls over a new contract.
IN THE FRAME: Newcastle want to appoint Rafa Benitez as their new boss
Reports in the Italian media say that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley wants Benitez to take over from caretaker boss John Carver in the summer and is keeping tabs on the Spaniard in case he chooses to come back to England.
The 54-year-old boss has fond memories of his time on these shores, having guided Liverpool to a Champions League win, an FA Cup and a runner-up place in the Premier League.
He also managed to win the Europa League for Chelsea during a stint as interim manager.
Fans of the Magpies would surely be delighted with the appointment, although Benitez would probably need reassurance that he would have full control of the club's players if he were to sign up.
