Barnsley striker Sam Winnall remains an injury doubt for the home game against Fleetwood.

Winnall, sidelined since the end of November due to a hamstring injury before stepping off the bench in the recent wins against Port Vale and Oldham, was withdrawn during the warm-up ahead of Saturday's defeat at Swindon and will be assessed.

Defender Martin Cranie was forced out at half-time against Swindon due to a bang on the hip but trained with the squad on Monday and is expected to be fit.

Midfielder Conor Hourihane and striker Kane Hemmings are among those pushing for recalls.

Graham Alexander expects Nick Haughton to be fine to feature for Fleetwood.

The 20-year-old came off against Peterborough on Saturday complaining of cramp but Alexander does not think the issue is serious enough to force him to miss any game time.

The Cod Army also had Antoni Sarcevic back in training on Monday after he missed out against Posh and the midfielder will be assessed on Tuesday morning to determine if he can play.

David Ball (leg) will hoping to retain his spot in the line-up after starting his first game since October, but both Danny Andrew (knee) and Jamille Matt (leg) remain absent.
