Oldham Athletic AFC - Swindon preview - Latics to keep faith

Oldham may name an unchanged XI for Swindon's visit to SportsDirect.com Park.

The 11 which Lee Johnson deployed at Scunthorpe on Saturday produced their manager's "favourite performance of the season" and the likes of Conor Wilkinson, Joseph Mills and Timothee Dieng could all retain their places.

Club captain Adam Lockwood, still yet to appear this season following a knee injury, may be sent out on loan to gain some match fitness.

Forward Amari Morgan-Smith (hamstring) is out for the foreseeable future but new signing Rhys Murphy will hope to build on his 12-minute debut at the weekend.

Swindon hope captain Nathan Thompson will be available to make the trip north.

Thompson missed Saturday's win over Barnsley with a dead leg he picked up at Sheffield United but boss Mark Cooper should be able to call on his skipper against the Latics.

But Ben Gladwin, who stepped off the bench to net the second goal against the Tykes may not be joining Thompson in the starting line-up due with Massimo Luongo and Yaser Kasim set to keep their places having returned from international duty.

It remains to be seen whether Andy Williams will remain on penalty taking duty after his miss on the weekend.
