Swindon vs Barnsley preview - Robins receive Gladwin boost

Ben Gladwin has given Swindon some welcome news by declaring himself fully fit to face Barnsley.

The midfielder underwent a knee arthroscopy less than two weeks ago and is already back in training and ready to feature against the Tykes although a place in the starting line-up seems unlikely.

Fellow midfielder Massimo Luongo, an Asian Cup winner with Australia, and Iraq's Yaser Kasim have both flown back from their exploits in the tournament and hope to be available to return to action for Mark Cooper's high-flying side.

The Robins' 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United last time out was their first defeat in six matches.

Barnsley teenager Mason Holgate will return to contention following suspension, but boss Danny Wilson is unlikely to make any unforced changes in defence.

Experienced pair Martin Cranie and Peter Ramage returned to the starting line-up last week against Port Vale and were prominent again when Barnsley made it back-to-back wins in midweek with victory over Oldham.

Sam Winnall has stepped off the bench in both of those matches following a hamstring injury and Wilson must decide whether to hand the striker his first start since November.

On-loan forwards George Waring (Stoke) and Alex Kiwomya (Chelsea) hope to feature again after both extended their stay at the club this week.
