Blackpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion preview - Rothwell set for Blackpool bow
Posted Friday, January 30, 2015 by PA
Blackpool will have new signing Joe Rothwell available to face Brighton after the midfielder joined on loan from Manchester United.
Joe Lewis' future remains uncertain after Lee Clark tried to send him back to Cardiff, and he is unlikely to return to the starting line-up after missing last week's 7-2 loss to Watford.
Clark hopes to conclude two further signings before the weekend, with Khaleem Hyland training at Bloomfield Road for the past week and Dan Potts hoping to conclude a loan deal from West Ham.
Niall Maher could also be set for a debut after joining on a temporary deal earlier in a busy week for the Pool boss.
Brighton hope to add new signing Beram Kayal to their squad.
The Seagulls this week agreed an undisclosed fee with Celtic for the Israeli midfielder and he has been granted a work permit, but the club are now awaiting international clearance.
Striker Leon Best returns after he was cup-tied against Arsenal last week while midfielder Joao Teixeira will be assessed after missing the 3-2 defeat by the Gunners through illness.
Kazenga LuaLua, Andrew Crofts (both knee) and Dale Stephens (ankle) are still out, although the latter has made his comeback for the reserves after nine months on the sidelines.
