Hartlepool United FC vs Plymouth Argyle preview - Fenwick doubt for Pools
Posted Friday, January 30, 2015 by PA
Hartlepool striker Scott Fenwick is boss Ronnie Moore's only new injury doubt for the home game against Plymouth.
Fenwick was forced out of last week's draw at Tranmere after sustaining a shoulder injury and will be assessed closer to kick-off, so Marlon Harewood could return to the starting line-up.
Moore has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side seek back-to-back home league wins and a second victory in eight since he became manager.
Midfielders Brad Walker and Lewis Hawkins, plus winger Jack Compton are in contention for recalls, but Tommy Miller (calf) and defender Stuart Parnaby (knee) are still out.
Peter Hartley has handed Plymouth a fitness boost ahead of the long trip north to face his hometown club.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined with a hip flexor injury he sustained in the 0-0 draw with York on January 3, but he has trained and is available for boss John Sheridan.
Sheridan, who admitted this week he would be interested in a move for Chesterfield's Drew Talbot, is also hopeful Luke McCormick will be given the green light to feature.
The goalkeeper suffered a finger injury last weekend and had to be replaced by James Bittner but scans did not show a fracture and Argyle are hopeful the former Oxford man can start at Victoria Park.
