Oldham Athletic AFC vs Notts County preview - Latics look strong for County clash

Oldham boss Lee Johnson should have a clean bill of health for the clash with Notts County.

Top scorer Jonathan Forte is the only concern having missed last week's loss to Gillingham with a groin problem, and his attempts to prove his fitness have been hampered by the snow.

Brian Wilson came through last week unscathed and Johnson revealed Rhys Turner was available again after injury.

Jacob Mellis is pushing for a first start for the club after impressing off the bench in his first game since joining on loan from Blackpool.

Liam Noble and Kwame Thomas return to contention for Notts following suspension.

Midfielder Noble has completed his latest two-match ban while on-loan Derby striker Thomas sat out last weekend's home defeat to Peterborough, fulfilling his one-game absence.

Magpies manager Shaun Derry's squad is further swelled by the addition of young Bolton forward Kaiyne Woolery, who moved to Meadow Lane this week on a one-month loan deal.

All three players will be pushing for places in the starting line-up, while the likes of Mustapha Dumbuya, Ronan Murray, Gary Jones, Elliott Whitehouse, Jordan Cranston and Alefe Santos - all substitutes against Posh - are also options for Derry.
