Nottingham Forest - Birmingham preview - Wilson banned for Forest

Nottingham Forest will be without the suspended Kelvin Wilson against Birmingham.

Wilson was sent off during the defeat to Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and the central defender will miss Sunday's midday kick-off at the City Ground as he serves a one-match ban.

Reds boss Stuart Pearce will check on Dexter Blackstock and Henri Lansbury. Striker Blackstock was absent against Boro after sustaining an injury during the home draw with Leeds, while midfielder Lansbury was not involved on Teesside because of illness.

Jack Hobbs, out since mid-September with an ankle injury, has resumed training and it is hoped the centre-half will make his comeback at Rochdale in the FA Cup next weekend.

Birmingham boss Gary Rowett must decide whether to freshen up his side following a 4-0 Boxing Day defeat at home to Derby.

Giant striker Nikola Zigic and Wes Thomas gave the Blues more tactical options when coming off the bench versus the Rams.

American defender Jonathan Spector is also back in contention after recovering from a thigh problem which has kept him out since the end of September.

Will Packwood (groin), Gavin Gunning (knee) and Matt Green (knee) remain sidelined for the visit to the City Ground.
