Adnan Januzaj is expected to join Everton on loan and a move could be agreed almost as soon as the transfer window opens, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has also been linked with moves to Paris St Germain, Real Sociedad and Inter Milan but Everton are believed to be in pole position for his signature.
Everton have a very good recent history of providing a great platform for youngsters on loan such as Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu, so he'd certainly get more opportunities under Roberto Martinez than Louis van Gaal this season.
Januzaj broken into United's first-team last season but is still very raw at just 19 and although plenty of United fans would rather see him stay at United and learn under Van Gaal, a six-month loan spell to Everton would help his development if only for the experience of leaving United on loan.
The Belgian youngster has had opportunities this year but failed to leave a lasting impression against Chelsea and had his chance away to Manchester City taken away when he was replaced after Chris Smalling got sent off.
The question fans will be asking is whether there is more benefit for Januzaj to stay and learn from United's coaching staff or to leave on loan to a Premier League side. If Januzaj does get regular game time, then there is no doubt a loan spell would be better for him but if his loan move turns out like Nick Powell's at Leicester City this season then it would be a different matter altogether.
